The thing
The thing is a performance that questions authority and power relations present in public places. The thing also seeks to confront the adult and childhood universe. The voice establishes a relationship with the thing by repeating orders that are constantly said or written in the metro and also orders given by adults to children.
At first, I guide The thing through the space. Language gradually puts a distance between me, The thing and the spectator which emphasizes the absurdity of orders. The thing moves around the space. It gets into the game, we admire it. The thing should follow the orders. What will be its reaction? Will it obey?
